Project Details

The Solidarity Project “Stronger Together: Sports Unite – They Don’t Kill” is implemented within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps and aims to prevent and combat sports-related violence through information, education, and youth engagement activities. The project will take place in Thessaloniki with a duration of 12 months (March 2026 – March 2027).

The project’s primary objective is to promote the values of respect, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence in sports, fostering a positive and responsible fan culture. Through participatory actions, the project seeks to raise awareness among young people and members of the local community regarding the consequences of stadium violence, while encouraging the creation of a safer and more inclusive sporting environment.

As part of the project, educational workshops, awareness-raising activities, information campaigns, and open community events will be organized in collaboration with schools, sports teams, and local stakeholders. Through these activities, participants will have the opportunity to discuss issues such as non-violence in sports, respect for diversity, and peaceful conflict resolution.

The project aspires to create a positive social impact by enhancing active youth participation and promoting sports as a medium for unity and social cohesion. At the same time, it contributes to cultivating a culture of responsibility and solidarity, where sports function as a space for cooperation, respect, and shared values.

The project is implemented with the support of the European Solidarity Corps, empowering young people to take an active role in society and develop initiatives that promote solidarity and positive social change.
