ANNOUNCEMENT
The Structure of February 1st, 2022 – In the Name of Alkis announces a series of actions that it will carry out on February 1st, 2024:
1. At 00.19 on February 1st, the Structure invites anyone who wishes to be at the scene of the murder, where we will light 19 candles and keep a minute’s silence in the memory of Alkis Kampanos.
2. At 17:00 on February 1st following the proposal of the Structure and the immediate response of the children and their parents, little Yiannis, little Leandros and little Spyros, children with disabilities and enormous strength, friends of Aris, PAOK and AEK respectively, wearing the insignia of their teams, will symbolically leave a flower at the scene of the assassination, sending a message of sportsmanship and inclusion
3. Last year’s action will be repeated (in the framework of February 1st as, still informal, Panhellenic Fan/Fan Day) photographing fans and supporters of different teams together, wearing the colors of their teams, and the posting by the Structure of all these photos with in order to create a wave of empathy and coexistence of colors.
4. Creation of a new section on the website www.inthenameofalkis.com entitled “STORIES OF COEXISTENCE” and posting them on the social media of the Structure.
The 1st story to be released on February 1st will be of an athlete who has worn the shirt of 2 popular (and rival) clubs.
Stories of fan coexistence will follow.
5. In collaboration with the public transport of Thessaloniki, on February 1st, the message “We are becoming one for Alkis. SPORTS UNITES, DOES NOT KILL” will be displayed at all telematics stops in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki.
6. In collaboration with STASY, a static electronic poster of the Structure with the main message “We are becoming one for Alkis. SPORTS UNITES, DOESN’T KILL” will be displayed throughout the Metro and Tram network of Attica.
7. In collaboration with the public transport of Athens, a static electronic poster of the Structure will appear with the main message “We are becoming one for Alkis. SPORTS UNITES, DOESN’T KILL” in all Buses and Trolleybuses of Attica.
WE INVITE ALL CITIZENS, wherever they are, inside and outside Greece, to support and participate in the actions they can.
WE INVITE THE MEDIA TO BECOME HELPERS AND SUPPORT ALL EFFORTS, SO THAT THE 1st FEBRUARY 2022 STRUCTURE – IN THE NAME OF ALKIS, A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION ORIGINATED FROM THE CIVIL SOCIETY CAN COMMUNICATE TO THE SOCIETY’S BASIS ITS ESSENTIAL ACTIONS.
Actions aimed at turning the path of FAN CULTURE CHANGE that we are carving into a boulevard, giving speech and actions to all those who want to enjoy sports without violence.
P.S.: In the list ABOVE, No. 1 would be the big 3-fold action that we were preparing for February 1st, a continuation of the colorful peaceful march of 5,000 people last year in Thessaloniki, but… we could not implement for this period of time.
At present, we call it action No. 19 and we hope that those who refused to help (sponsoring), large companies active in the field of Sports (and not only) but also the local authorities, will not let all the preparatory work go to waste of the following unique and pioneering (with a huge social footprint) action and will help to implement it in the future:
Innovative 3-fold Action No. 19:
1. Colorful coexistence of citizens in a concert in Alexandrio Melathron with the participation of renowned and popular artists.
2. At the same time, a colorful call to citizens, athletes, and fans in Athens, with a candle in hand, to attend the concert in Thessaloniki, in Kotzia square from broadcasting with live streaming on giant screens.
3. The same call in Patra and in king George square.
