A few days after the murder of Alkis Kampanos, when the Structure was still only in our minds and hearts, we asked Kostas Tournas—without knowing him personally—to write a song for Alkis.
Within 24 hours, he wrote shattering lyrics that were not easy to read until the end.
They express us perfectly, which is why we made them our “banner.”
“I am Alkis and I can now live through you, as long as you know how to speak… for me to speak to you…”.
Last night, 23/09/23, Structure In the Name of Alkis attended the concert of Kostas Tournas on his birthday in Thessaloniki.
The kindness, the calmness in his voice, the pervasive romanticism that is so often missing, the songs that raised generations, the sincere emotions, and the overall aura of the concert filled our souls.
The least we could do was a surprise: a cake with lyrics from one of his well-known songs…
“The best singer of all,
Let him come again to give Life to the song and to us.”
