We promised it, and it has become a reality. The arrival of Titormos at Kleanthis Vikelidis essentially constituted the first action of the Structure! When the country was literally “shaken” by the murder of Alkis Kampanos, the Panetolikos team in Agrinio caused a profound stir with its own banner, inspiring the artist-cartoonist, Christos Papanikos, to depict the mythical hero Titormos—the emblem of Panetolikos—holding the lifeless body of Alkis in his arms.

This banner became one of the most powerful and emotionally charged images to see the light of day, and it could not have left us unmoved, even though the Structure was still in the early stages of its creation. When this banner was put up for auction, with the proceeds intended for the charitable association “Initiative for the Child – Vergina Home,” based in Veria—the city where Alkis was born and now rests—the Structure set a goal for this banner to come to the stadium that Alkis loved so dearly.

The individual who eventually placed the winning bid in the auction (and wished to remain anonymous) became a member of the Structure, brought it to us, and representatives of the Structure have been placing it at the Vikelidis memorial located in front of Gate 3 since the match against Olympiacos.
